Greetings Everyone!,
Took our trailer out for the 1st time and am finding out all the small bugs(besides the Concertone problems). Do all water pressure pump motors sound loud? Comes on every time water is used, including middle of the night bathroom calls. Just wondering... Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the quick replies! I think I'll lean toward the Silencer Kit at Camping World because I also want to get the 50 amp male to 30 amp female adapter too. Oh, the Concertone was looked at by a RV Dealership tech and it wouldn't work for him either(on DVD). Everything including the CD, Telvision, Radio...worked fine. So being a good service guy and having experience with Concertone units, he brought another one. And it didn't work...Didn't even power up and the box said good on it. Well, he is sending me another in the mail. We will see! Happy Camping!!

Mine was noisy also and I eliminated a lot of it by gluing a 1/2" pc of foam rubber about 6" long & 4" wide to two pcs of 1/2" plywood. The top pc of plywood was big enough to contain the 4 mounting screws of the water pump & the bottom pc was about 3/4" larger all around than the top pc. This permits screwing the bottom pc to the floor. The screws holding the pump should not be so long as to go into the foam rubber over about 1/8". I also put rubber foam pipe insulation on the pipe coming from the pump & going to the pump. This will eliminate a majority of the noise.

Two possible solutions: a pump silencer kit (camping world item no. 29361, $18.33) and/or an accumulator tank. The silencer kit is VERY easy too install. The accumulator will not really reduce the noise on a short use of the pump (flushing the toilet), but it will reduce the cycling of the pump. I've also read of people putting better mounts (pieces of rubber) on the pumps that act like shock absorbers to reduce the noise. Some people wrap the pump in foam to help reduce noise and act as a cold weather insulator, but will that work in warm weather and not overheat the pump?
Welcome to the board! Ask all the questions you have and please answer all the ones you can.

If you are hooked up to city water you do not need the water pump turned on. Otherwise, when using water from the tank, the pump usually comes on whenever water is drawn from it, and it tends to be loud, unfortunately.
