Posted - Nov 19 2008 : 09:43:04 AM We've had our Surveyor SV291 for 2 camping seasons now and still think it's a great for our needs. It's very easy to pull with our small V-8 truck, although we do know it's behind us on hills but that's something we accept for great gas mileage everyday(22mpg on highway). With the Slide open it gives us all the room we need for up to 5 adults which we have often. After 13years of tent camping, this isn't camping AT ALL! We call our trailer our "Little bit of Paradise" and welcome all our friends and strangers alike to "paradise" when they visit us. My only complaint about out Surveyor is that it is the model that has the separate drain outlets on the holding tanks and there is ALWAYS some spillage. swapping the hose around. I keep a jug of bleach handy for that. But Like I said, We love our Surveyor!

Posted - Nov 23 2008 : 9:52:49 PM I like Chris have replaced the caps on my drains with the type that will accept a garden hose. When connecting the two together and opening the respective drains you can use the Galley tank and the Bathroom grey tank and have the extra capacity by equalizing between the two. Works great when boon docking with no sewer connection. Dave

Posted - Nov 23 2008 : 07:11:06 AM midnightpumpkin- I was looking at yur pictures and I don't quite understand. How does the garden hose from the galley actually empty into the sewer pipe? I have a been looking for a solution to this myself for our seasonal set up. Thanks! |

Posted - Nov 22 2008 : 06:58:47 AM Thanks guys for giving me some great ideas to combine my holding tank drain outlets into one hose. After reading your ideas and viewing the pictures, we thought about it... Such an easy solution! And we ALREADY have everything to do it with. Our Thanksgiving trip will not have sewer hookups, but we will try our idea on our next full hook up site. Thanks again

Posted - Nov 21 2008 : 09:49:21 AM bamasurveyor I bring two sewer hoses and a y connector. I hook up both at the same time, connect the y and allow them to drain at the same time. Saves a lot of time!

Would it be possible to put a Y in to connect the two drains ? Having two seperate drains would be a real pain, I'm sure owners who are on seasonal sites have come up with a fix for it.
