I have noticed this year that getting a spot to park my TT is getting more difficult and you have to look for a space earlier. Is it more campers or less campgrounds? The state parks with less hookups tend to be the last to fill, but still fill up. Guess our government still has not figured out the business end of things. No elect. and one water spigot makes those campgrounds less desirable.

Hi all !
I also think that since most of us have upgraded from tenting to "much larger units", less sites are available in campgrounds for our home comfort type of camping.
Just my canadian $0.02 !

We have noticed the park where we are seasonals has been a lot busier this year. Also there is quite a list of campers wanting seasonal sites at our park. Seems people are not travelling as far this year either, a lot of the overnighters we are meeting are from within a 100 mile range where last year they were from all over.

We noticed that you do need to reserve a space in advance, especially if you want any hook up at all. Been able to get power only sites. This is my first year at RVing so can't compare to the way things used to be.

This year we have noticed that there are more popuppers and tent campers at campgrounds we have visited than in previous years. More smaller TTs too. Because of the recession, more and more people are camping and staying closer to home because it is much cheaper than regular vacations to resorts, etc. Not seeing as many big motorhomes on the road either. Our local dealer is selling more popups and smaller TTs than larger units..People are cutting back and down sizing.
