Expecting delivery of a new 5'er 8285 ws in late november. Does anyone have any opinions of the 08 or 09 model. leaving behind a 2603 unit that has been all but perfect for 2 years plus.

Hi Ready2rock,
I got your PM and tried to reply but it I guess i screwed up because it got sent back. Anyway, congrats on the new 5er, we love ours but, unfortunately, we only have taken it out twice since we bought it in April.
Pros:
great layout, very comfortable
easy to tow with F250
its purty 
Cons:
We did have a problem with our TV on the first trip, it quit working after the first night. Dealer replaced then on the second trip I couldn't get the DVD picture to show up on the TV. I could hear the sound.
On first trip also we blew the fuse for the power jacks. It is an inline fuse an I couldn't find it. Dealer replaced and no problems since. Positive is I did find out its no big deal to manually raise/lower the jacks except you need to remove the propane bottle for access.
Overall we are every happy with our purchase and the dealer has done a ggod job of taking care of us. Main problem is we've been too busy to use the dang thing!
