We are having a problem with water behind and along the side of the toilet by the shower. When I looked at the flush mechanism on the back of the toilet there is a connection from the water supply. It seems that it could be coming from the flush mechanism, or it has condensation on the outside. Thus far it has has beeen managable with a small dish sized bath towel on the floor. Has anyone had any issue with the thetford toilets or this valve? I'm trying to minimize any water issues.
There is a kit available for the Thetford toilet. Any RV dealer should have them.
There is an anti-siphon valve as part of the water inlet. They often fail and are easy to fix. You do have to remove the toilet from the floor to install the kit.

Thanks John, Do you know how much touble it is to remove and replace the toilet? Is it like a home toilet with the wax ring flange etc? Is there any specific name for the kit?
Removing the toilet is very simple. Two floor bolts and a rubber seal, not a wax ring. I believe the kit includes a new rubber seal as well as the replacement parts for the anti-siphon valve.
It is called a water valve repair kit, you will need the model number of your toilet when you go to the dealer.
