Silly question, but any good ideas for securing your pop up? I know there are some hitch locks out there, any recommendations? Can you use something as simple as a masterlock on the PUP connection?
Thanks!

I use a hitch lock and a pin lock for my ball mount tube. I also use small master locks for the storage door hinge and the top cover hinge while traveling.
However, while camping and the top is up, the door is held in place by Velcro, so if someone wants to get into the PUP, there really isn't anyway to prevent it. I use the door lock just to deter anyone who isn't really determined to enter. |

| Thanks Coleman. I picked up a masterlock hitch and pin lock combination. All set. |

| I use the same locks as COLEMANSTONE, it's just to slow down crooks because if they really want it they can get it. I never understood why they put a locking door on a trailer made of canvass... |

You should be all set with that. Does your trailer have electric brakes?

No, our trailer doesn't have electric brakes on it. I may consider adding them - the Pilot seems to handle the 2300-2500 lbs. pretty easily.

I was asking because I saw your trailer connector in your picture. The Pilot is rated for 3500 lbs, I'm also a factory trained Honda technician. I do recommend the oil cooler for the transmission.

Cool - I do have the factory towing package with the separate transmission cooler.

Your Pilot is more than enough to pull your trailer, I bet it hardly break a sweat. Mine (trailer) is the same size as yours and I pull it with a 4 cyl Accord, hte big difference is the age of my kids: 24, 21 and 17. Needless to say I'm camping with my wife...
