Two weeks ago, on a Saturday, wife and I took a day trip up into the mountains to check out the fall colors. On the way back we stopped at a large and well known RV dealer for a look at some of the 09 models.. Saturdays are usually busy there with customers and lookers, but not this time..The place was practically deserted and there were more sales people standing around than there were customers. While there, wife overheard two salesmen talking about how if business did'nt pick up soon, they would be looking for another job..There is another RV dealer close to us and business is dead there too.
In the past month, I have heard of two RV dealers going out of business here in NC. Also, a Ford and a Dodge dealer in our area have recently closed..
How are RV and other business's doing in your areas?....

We had a ford dealership that had been in business since the days of the Model T that opened a new facility last spring. They are history.

Our local RV dealer has recently layed off some people in their sales and service departments and probably won't be partisipating in any of the RV shows this winter..
