I bought my Surveyor last May & have used it a lot. I am now in Texas for the winter with it. The slideout is great for the add'l room I didn't have in my last trailer. The thing I really don't like is the couch. It is too narrow from front to back to be really comfortable. Maybe if it was a little lower it would be better. I had a Jayco previously & only switched because of weight. I loved that couch. I am not crazy about the seperate drains for my tanks but I can live with that. I like the atwater water heater better also. I would recommend it to someone else as those are just my preferences and is easy to pull. I like the rear kitchen which is new to me. Love the add'l counter space. I would buy another Surveyor but for me a 5th wheel will be next.

Glad to see another satisfied Surveyor owner. I hope the Surveyor line is around for a long time.
Like you I have the separate drains systems on the holding tanks. and thes is the first forum I've been one,(and I'm on a lot!) where anyone one gave me any good ideas on how to "work around" them, I plan to test my ideas this coming weekend and take pictures. Should make for great subject matter . and I'll post them here. as soon as we are back in town.
I think removing the couch and putting in two small platform rockers would be great for me but I doubt it will happen until we can use our trailer more than once a month.Plus we spend more time outside than in.

Well, I tried my "idea" for the dual drain this past weekend. Sorry,no pictures. Only limited success.
While every thing connected up the way I thought it would using the Hydro-flush from Wal-mart, and the garden hose adapter drain cap on the gray tank drain, the valve opening in the Hydro-flush was SO small that it took over 30 minutes to drain a 30 gallon tank.
So, I can combine something such as this but will have to have a larger valve.

Bamasurveyor,

Take the anti drain back valve out of the hydroflush, the gray water will drain through much faster.

What you are seeing above is a gray 45 degree hose adaptor screwed directly into the hydroflush and a black shutoff valve and then the green hose to the galley tank. Works like a charm.

If you are going to use the hydroflush as a flushing device, re-install the anti drain back valve.

The 264 is a VERY nice trailer. We almost did that one but wound up with a 235 instead. (mostly because of all the room up front for dog kennels, bicycles, telescope, etc. because we don't use the bunks). Happy camping!
