Member Agreement/Policy
We're dedicated to making The Rockwood/Flagstaff/Surveyor RV Owners Forums a friendly on-line community where members feel relaxed and comfortable. When members join our community, they agree to abide by a few simple rules.
1) Members must be at least 18 years of age.
2) All members must have a valid email address. Please keep yours up to date.
3) All new members are required to post within 5 days of approval. If not, the membership will be deleted. This is done to keep the database uncluttered.
4) Only registered members of this community will be allowed to post messages. Members cannot post direct messages from non-members.
5) Flaming of any sort will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, any message that deliberately insults, verbally attacks, provokes or maliciously harasses any member or non-member of this community. These posts will be removed from the board or edited as soon as a moderator becomes aware of them.
Disguised indirect attacks will also be considered flaming. A member who uses this method will be given a warning and the offending post will be removed. An example of indirect flaming would be saying hurtful things about a member but never actually mentioning their name. These tactics are perfectly obvious to any thinking person and should not be used here.
Posts that disparage anyone's religion, race, nationality, gender or sexual orientation will be removed.
6) Spamming and the posting of advertisements are prohibited*.
Note: These rules apply to any message on this board, including Private Messages (PM). If a member receives a PM that falls into one or more of the above categories, he/she should copy the PM in its entirety including avatar, date, time, etc. and send it to a moderator. Private Messages are private, and they are only available to members of The Rockwood/Flagstaff RV Owner's Forums, and they can not be used to attack or harass another member. If members are attempting to work out problems using PM's, there is still no reason to use swearing and name calling. Should this occur, the Moderators will decide whether or not a PM is a flame or a real attempt to work out differences.
(*)Sales advertisements and links to web sites, such as dealers/suppliers, may be posted only after proper approval from the Forum Administrator.
7) General
Treat others with the same respect you'd like in return.
Feel free to debate an idea, but don't turn your disagreement into a personal attack on the poster.
Don't expect everyone to agree with you.
Never post out of anger.
It may not be possible to get involved in every single discussion. Don't expect to get replies to all of your posts or to reply to everyone else's posts. It doesn't mean your post has not been read or that no one is interested in what you have to say.
Respect other members who are reading the forum. Your posts should be suitable for a general audience (Age 13 and older).
If a member has personal issues or problems with another member(s), keep it off the board. Work out you differences in a PM (Private Message), email or other means of communication, but keep our posting policy in mind.
If you're not sure if you should say something, don't say it.
Use common sense, good judgment and common courtesy when posting messages.
8) Privacy
Copying and distribution of posted messages, pictures, or any other material to non-members is prohibited unless permission is granted by the member who originated the post.
The privacy of our members is to be respected at all times. Anything posted in this forum is not to be discussed with non-members (outside of your family).
A breach of privacy will be considered a violation of The Rockwood/Flagstaff Owners Forums Membership Policy.
Posting Violations
Members who violate this policy will have posting privileges suspended or will be permanently banned from this forum. Your registration information should always include an up-to-date, valid email address, so the Moderators can contact you in the event of a policy violation.
Suspension of Posting Privileges
Anyone posting a "disguised flame" on the public board or in a PM (Private Message) will be sent a warning. Upon a second offense, the member will have posting privileges suspended for an undetermined period set forth by the Forum Administrator. They will be notified of the date their privileges will be reinstated. A subsequent offense will result in permanent banning from our community.
Permanent Banning
Violations to our posting policy can result in a member being permanently banned from our community. Once banned, a member will not have the privilege of rejoining at a later time. The member will be sent an email to advise them that they have been permanently banned.
Member's Rights
If you disagree with a decision made by a Moderator, please feel free to contact us and we will discuss your concerns.
Should you have questions regarding this policy, please contact a moderator.
