Component: WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS
Potential Number Of Units Affected : N/A
Summary:
ON CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS THAT USE ALUMINUM WHEELS, THE LUG BOLTS AND WHEELS CAN COME OFF.
Consequence:
LOSS OF THE LUG NUT COULD CAUSE THE WHEEL TO COME OFF THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy:
FOREST RIVER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED A REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT FOREST RIVER AT 1-574-389-4600.

| The recall says only 2004 and 2005 models. What is different, if anything, on the 2006 and 2007 models that would make them not be included? |

Maybe it is the warning sticker next to the wheel-wells on when to check the lugs?
I check mine before every trip.

This is my guess.
Apparently they did not properly torque the wheel lug nuts in the years 2004 & 2005, and changed their torque procedures after that.

On my sticker it says to check at regular intervals and before each trip.

My 2005 Flagstaff 25LB has a sticker about checking lug nuts. I have the steel wheels.
