I recently purchased a Rockwood 2304. I want to store it in my shop this winter--but the Trialer is 10'6" at the top of the air conditioner and my door is 10'.

I have considered letting the air out of the tires to back in-but that probably wouldn't get me there. My neighbor says that he thinks that he can raise my tongue up high enough to dip the ac down (its on the rear end) enough to get me in. I was thinking that I might be able to find a 5 lug spare tire that might be small enough to lower it down.

Any other suggestions?

bob4apples,
OK I'll bite on this one. Tires most likely will not work. The angle issue still does not change the apex issue (highest point).

Like anything else it sounds like you are trying to get 6 gallons in a 5 gallon container.

If you are going to do this often maybe a suggestion of raising the height of the actual building might benefit you in the long run. This would take less time (each time) you park your TT in the garage.

I myself live in a neighborhood that does not allow/extreme rules against TT's. My output for storage on the other hand is only 240 dollars a year. I could not build a garage for that price, thus I store it away from my home.

So what about a new door? 11' door? Do you have 12' ceilings?

Well, I decided to try changing the tires and mounting on an 8",wheel when I back it in for the winter. This will cut 5" of my height. I'll post the results, but only if they make me look smart.
