We were tired of using excessive water to flush and properly rinse the toilet bowl, so here's what I did:
Our 2607 has a PEX riser that comes from the floor to about a 10" height where it attaches to the toilet flush valve. I cut the PEX about 1.5" down from the connection and made sure all of the water was drained.
I then assembled a 1/2" brass tee with a PEX nipple on the bottom a close nipple on the top and a 1/2" x 3/8" bushing on the tee. Above the close nipple I installed a 1/2" quarter-turn valve and another PEX nipple. I then crimped the 1.5" PEX "tail" going to the toilet valve to this upper PEX fitting. With the entire assembly all teflon taped and tightened down, I now took a measurement for cutting the PEX riser coming from the floor, and attached the assembly to the PEX riser.
The next step was to attach a kitchen sink faucet spray hose to the 3/8" bushing. The last step was to mount a plastic shower head bracket on the wall behind the toilet to hold the sprayer.
We now can rinse the bowl (and refill it) using the sprayer. It seems to work fine with the valve to the regular toilet flush open, but we get even more powerful abd efficient a spray with it closed. Total cost was less than $50, with the bulk of that cost being the brass 1/4 turn valve and the tee. The sprayer assembly was only about $9 and the wall bracket was $7.
I know.... You want pics... I still need to do that for a BUNCH of my mods, but I promise that I'll get to it! Anyone who wants to see it "in person", I'll be in the Reserved Lot (Lot 2) at Dover Raceway from this coming Thursday night until Monday morning. Send me a PM, and I'll have a cold, carbonated, adult beverage waiting for you!
