What size and type portable generator is recommended to start up, as well as run, a 13.5k btu a/c and not interfer w. or endanger any other electrical equipment one might want to run w. 2150 fifth-wheel? Is an inverter generator necessary? How quiet should it be? Does it a really big convenience if it adjusts to load required and saves fuel?

I do not know about gen. but welcome to forum It good to see another 5er these TT's have us out numbered.Do not forget about the Snap shot section its nice to see other rigs.

An inverter type genny is not necessary, BUT, "anybody" within 500' give or take will not be your best friend!! I have two Honda eu2000i gennies that runs my 13.5k a/c just fine. At about 58db and 60 or so pounds each they are easy to move around. So they are quite and light and when you only need one, well you know. I can run both gennies for 18 hours on about 5 gallons. This is standard living for two using what is needed. Had a power outage in house and lived in tt for a week and a half!!

I bought the Yamaha 2400, and it runs my 13.5 ac fine. There is a link posted below that takes you to a site where a guy has done some pretty extensive testing on the 2400. It's pretty interesting.

| I have a Honda 3500 and it will run everything as long as you watch things like a curling iron or hair dryer and microwave at the same time. A little on the noisy side but acceptable. |

| We have a Honda EU3000is that runs the AC and many other items. It struggles to run the AC compressor and microwave simultaneously in our 2005 Flagstaff 8528GTSS. This generator is phenominal! It will run all night (15 hours) on a tank of gas. AND you can carry on a conversation standing right beside it....camping neighbors love the low DBs. Only downside is the price, but it's worth every dime. |

I bought a Tri-fuel Yamaha EF30iSEB and it really busted the budget. It came in today.

I will post photos as I get it assembled and running. Its supposed to handle my 15K AC as well as the TV.
3000 Watts continuous with 500 Watts Boost for compressor startup. Runs on Propane, Natural Gas, and Unleaded gasoline.
It should fit just fine in the bed of the truck along with the air compressor and Gas bottle.
