Hi all ! Although not new to camping/caravaning, I'm completely newbie to this forum. Over the last 20 years, we've owned two tent-trailers (pop-ups), one travel-trailer, and two fifthwheels. However, this second FW is our very first Forest River product. So, I am very pleased to have discovered this forum. The DW and I are so excited by our new acquisition that we sleep in since the day we purchase it (August 1st) ! Although everybody knows there is no perfect RV, after reading some topics about concerns with the electric awning and the sound system (for examples), I still hope we have made the right choice. Not being a computer guy, let me try to photographically introduce the “responsible” for my signature :

Nice looking unit. Looks like it has lots of room. Love to see an inside shot sometime.
As for quality - so far so good for us and our new Rockwood. Only complaint was the dealers fault, he forgot to put the air matress into the sofa. I researched RV's from March to August when we settled on a Rockwood. It was a combination of the floor plan, the price and the satisfaction expressed by Rockwood owners.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking unit, I'm sure you made the right choice with your Rockwood. All trailers have teething troubles but hopefully like mine yours are minor. My buddy and my daughter were so impressed with our Flagstaff for the quality, the price and the added features that they both bought one. Oh and after the mod that Neil and I both made we now love the power awning. Dave

Thank you all for both the welcome and the comments. Now that the introduction is done, I'm planning to contribute to other topics in the forum. Our unit (2008 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8280WS) is 30,5 ft long, with a 6,753 pds dryweight. This floorplan is equivalent to the Flagstaff Classic Super Lite 8528RKWS, with very slight differences, according to the pictures I've seen on the WEB. In the next future, I will place some of mine in the "Snap shots" section.
"Fortkentdad", according to your user name, we probably live not very far from you. "Draytondave", I am certainly interested by your awning modifications.
